Ben 10 Green Lantern

Ben Tennyson, a Green Lantern of Earth, is unusual for his choice of combat constructs. He prefers what is best described as a heavily modified protective sphere construct/body augmentation construct for combat. These constructs are unique not only in form, but in how they operate. They look like simulacrums of individuals of other sentient species, but Ben is kept inside them in the manner of a protective sphere construct. The simulacrums copy his movements and amplify his physical strength, speed, and ability to move in different environments.

Ben does not modify the shape or properties of the simulacrums while operating them, so, to a degree, his combat versatility is limited. He overcomes this by having multiple simulacrums, each with different specializations. He gives each simulacrum a unique name based on descriptors in his native tongue. Such names may be wordplay or portmanteaus.

Due to the complicated and sustained nature of his constructs, he runs out of ring charge fairly quickly. It is predicted that this can be fatal if he runs out of ring charge while travelling through space or when he is on planets with incompatible atmospheres. Thus, authorities have programmed his ring to "time out" after a set amount of time in one simulacrum. To encourage creativity in combat situations, his ring does not always respond correctly to his commands. Thus, if he wills the ring to produce a "Four Arms" simulacrum, it may instead produce a "Ripjaws" simulacrum.

So far, Ben Tennyson of Earth is capable of using ten simulacrums, causing him to adopt the nickname "Ben 10". (Most of the Green Lanterns he works with do not know this name rhymes in his native tongue, on account of a Green Lantern's ring not translating rhymes.)

That's the problem with translating the concept of Ben 10 to constructs. While the powers of a Green Lantern have, throughout history, met the definition of "New Powers as the Plot Demands", some of them are implausible and seem overpowered. See the Wikipedia page "Power ring (DC Comics)" and "Green Lantern Ring -DC Comics Database" for more information on this.

For the sake of this interpretation, I draw not on the entire history of the Green Lantern Corps in comics, but just the "standard" capabilities depicted in GLTAS.
